Adult Sewing Workshop- Memory Bear- 2 parts

$100.00

Join us for a 2 part Adult Sewing workshop to create a memory bear. Either practice with material available or you bring your own material- do you have some clothing of a loved one that you'd like to keep, but don't know how to display it?  A memory bear is a great way to keep the memory of your loved one, or a loved event (have a dress you want to remember? Some awesome pants from when you were younger?) close, and a fun way to display the items.  Make a bear out of one item, or many with a patchwork look. However- if you just want to practice for now, I’ll have material available that you can use! We'll be making a 16" bear. Part 1- Sunday April 27 (1-3pm) we will be taking apart the items and ironing on interfacing, and pinning the cut out pieces. Part 2 (Sunday May 4th 1-3pm) we’ll be sewing up the bear, stuffing it and hand sewing the openings using the ladder stitch. Some sewing skills/knowledge would be helpful, though its not overly complicated.  I'll provide all the tools, interfacing, pattern and stuffing and have material available if you just want to practice making a bear.  If you want to jump right in, you can bring what you want to make the bear out of.  Space is limited to 5 participants.

Part 1: Sunday April 27th- 1-3pm
Part 2: Sunday May 4th- 1-3pm

Registration covers BOTH PARTS.
